Paddle Diva is all about encouraging and challenging women to feel their best – physically, professionally, and emotionally! Every day we meet amazing women who, through their work, philosophy or art, inspire us – and that inspiration helps keep us motivated to persevere with our own goals.

This summer we’ve been thrilled to work with “health foodie” Bethenny Frankel, who caught the SUP craze along with everybody else.  Most people know Bethenny as a television personality, celebrated natural food chef, creator of Skinnygirl cocktails, and best-selling author of “Naturally Thin,” among other titles.  Bethenny inspires us—as she has so many others—with her super-smart advice for eating healthy and her no-nonsense guidance for how to live a happy and rewarding life.  She’s parlayed all that good stuff into a rewarding life for herself – and an amazing business that embodies her philosophy.

Undaunted by naysayers who told her how crazy her ideas were, Bethenny always pushed forward with her goals, launching ventures in tough, male-dominated industries.  She is tireless and her energy is contagious.  That’s probably why Ellen DeGeneres agreed to produce a six week “trial run” of her television show, which we’re hoping another network will pick up so that we can have Bethenny in our homes every day again!

She is a dedicated wife and works actively on her marriage, looks after a baby, takes great care of herself, and now she’s SUPing — and not just for the casual paddle!  Bethenny is committed to the sport.  Her take on SUP seems to be the same approach she takes to everything: love it, embrace it, OWN IT!  She’s been working with Paddle Diva to improve her stroke, stance and water knowledge and she’s even making a board for herself – that’s owning it!

But what inspires us most about Bethenny is seeing what a great mom she is!  We got a chance to visit with Bethenny and Bryn up close in their backyard – and you can see how having a relaxed, focused and loving mom is reflected in a daughter’s delightful personality.
